Hamilton Hall is a National Historic Landmark in Salem, MA. Named after Alexander Hamilton and built in 1805, Hamilton Hall is widely recognized as one of the most important Federal buildings in America. In its early days, Hamilton Hall hosted elaborate celebrations and banquets, honoring American presidents and visiting dignitaries. It later became an important fixture in the anti-slavery and women's suffrage movements, thanks to the Remonds, the Hall's resident family in the 19th century.
Please note that Hamilton Hall does not currently provide handicap access to the second and third floors of the building. There is permanent ramp access to the first floor only.
